SEU 800 represents over 14,000 members in various sectors such as building maintenance, school board support staff, manufacturing (plastic, metal, wood, cardboard, dairy products and others), hotel and restaurant, businesses, financial institutions. A vast experience at your service.
Every base unit has an executive committee and various other committees for which its' members are all elected. The union convention is where the delegates are elected by the members. The General Council is composed of the elected members at the convention. The administrators are also elected at the convention. The SEU 800 has a true democratic structure and is representative of its members.
Above and beyond the political decision making structure, our members can implicate themselves in numerous consultative and labour committees: Status of Women Committee, Health and Safety, Collective Insurance of the Maintenance sector Committee, Social Delegates Network, Training and others.

All of our members can count on a permanent team of representatives, a coordinator, legal counsel, office employees and administrators. All of these people are entirely devoted to the safeguarding of SEU 800 members' interests and of the union as well as the constant improvement of services.
SEU 800 assures its' services provincewide in Quebec with offices in many regions in order that members may contact us easily: Montreal, Quebec, Saguenay, Magog, Trois-Rivières and Gatineau.
SEU 800 is affiliated and maintains relations with many other organisations and union autorities, mainly the QFL and the SEIU. The affiliations allow the local to obtain ressources and additionnal support and contribute in strengthening workers' bargaining powers in relation to employer organisations and gouvernement.
